Analiz Rodriguez, M.D., Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Analiz Rodriguez M.D., Ph.D., attended New College of Florida, the honors college of Florida’s state university system, majoring in Chemistry.  She then attended the National Institute of Health sponsored Medical Scientist Training Program at Case Western Reserve University obtaining both her MD and PhD.  Dr. Rodriguez completed her neurosurgical residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center.  Her neurosurgical oncology fellowship was completed at City of Hope National Medical Center which specializes in immunotherapy clinical trials.

During her neurosurgical training, Dr. Rodriguez obtained numerous awards and honors such as a Neurosurgery Research Education Foundation Research Fellowship, CNS Leadership fellowship and CSNS Socioeconomic Fellowship.  Dr. Rodriguez’s main research interests include the use of laser thermal ablation for brain tumors and understanding the immune microenvironment.  She is a member of the Clinician Scientist Program at UAMS.

Dr. Rodriguez is board-certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS).  She is the Director of Neurosurgical Oncology at UAMS and strives to bring novel therapies and trials to the state of Arkansas.  She has an independent brain tumor research laboratory in the Winthrop P.
